Entries and Submission Fees
By submission of entries (digital files or printed images) and/or entry fees, the entrant indicates that he/she understands and abides by our photo contest rules and regulations.
Choose your payment method
Please read carefully the following information regarding digital images before proceeding to pay:
Digital Images
Prepare your files according to the following information:
- Acceptable formats are JPEG or TIFF file formats sent using our uploading tool.
- Photos may be taken with a digital camera or scanned into digital format with a maximum size of 80MB (81,920KB).
- Digital photograph file name(s) must use the following format: Photographer first and last name + initials of the category you want to place your pictures + picture number (if submitting more than one image). Using this format will assure that your images will be identifiable.
File name examples:
Julie Smith AIN
Julie Smith CPPA 1 of 2
Julie Smith CPPA 2 of 2
This person submitted 1 photograph in the "Amateur - Images of Nature" category and 2 in the Canadian Parks and Protected Areas.
Once you change the name, make sure the file still opens properly. - If you want to send more than 10 digital photographs/images, use compression software such as WinZip or WinRAR (freely available online) to create a single file containing your images and then proceed to use our upload tool.

By cheque or cash
Cash or cheques must be dropped off by 5:00pm MDT, or mailed postmarked no later than Friday, September 12, 2008 to the CPAWS Office, #1120, 1202 Centre Street SE, Calgary, Alberta, Canada T2G 5A5.
Send us your photograph(s)
To help CPAWS in its commitment to protect the environment and reduce the amount of paper and waste generated in our offices, please consider sending only digital images.
Digital Images
To send us your digital images, we ask that you click here to use the free FilesFrom online file transfer service. Fill in the FilesFrom fields with the following information:

Payment receipt number (if paying by credit card) or cheque number
Email address
Postal address (including city, province and postal code)

Note: Files sent directly to info@cpawscalgary.org will not be accepted.
Printed Entries
Printed entries must be dropped off by 5:00pm MDT, or mailed postmarked no later than Friday, September 12, 2008 to the CPAWS Office, #1120, 1202 Centre Street SE, Calgary, Alberta, Canada T2G 5A5.
If you pay by credit card, please do not forget to include the receipt number generated by our electronic payment system.
Slides or photographic prints should not exceed 8 x 12 inches.
Colour photocopies and framed images will not be accepted.

If you want your image returned, you must include a self-addressed stamped envelope with sufficient Canadian postage (stamps only). We cannot return submissions accompanied by US or other foreign postage.
